As much as we respect Arsenal and their results in the Premier League, Real are just an animal of a different kind. They have an unmatched history in the competition, and Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most experienced and celebrated coaches in the modern game with 5 UCL trophies to his name. There's always a place for surprise in football and sports in general, however, MightyTips just can't see Arsenal going through here. Real are the favourites in this pair ahead of the first leg at 1.53, and Arsenal can be had for 2.37.
PSG are the biggest favourites in the quarterfinals, as the odds of them qualifying for the semis are just 1.22. While their experience at the European stage is much bigger than Aston Villa's, the French champions are probably the biggest underachievers in the Champions League history, with only one final to their name. The odds for Aston Villa to go through are 4.00 at bet365, and this looks like a decent underdog shot for half a unit. However, we believe the best thing to do in this pair is just pass.
Another pair with a clear favourite, as Barca can be had at 1.25 to go through to the last four, while the odds are 3.75 for Dortmund. Finalists last year, the Germans are having a modest season in the Bundesliga. On the other hand, Barcelona are the team to beat in the Champions League, showing amazing results at domestic stage. This duel looks to be a one-way traffic, and we’ll make a bold prediction of having over 2,5 goals in both matches between the teams. That can be had at 1.44 for the first game at Camp Nou.
This is the most evenly matched duel in the quarterfinals: Bayern are slight favourites at 1.66, and Inter can be had for 2.10 to qualify. The battle between the leaders of the German and Italian leagues is very close to call, but we suppose a chance to play the final at the home stadium might be the difference for Bayern here. The statistics of the previous meetings speak for Bayern, too, as they’ve had five victories and a draw in nine matches versus Inter.
If everything goes as we predicted, we'll have Real against PSG and Barcelona versus Bayern in the semifinals. While both encounters should be very close, with the small details deciding everything, we'll predict a La Liga clash in the final. The odds for the Real - Barcelona final are 7.00 at bet365. It's just that we can't go against Real's pedigree and Barcelona's red-hot form here, and, as always, it will be the Madrid club to lift the trophy again.
One last thing we need to mention: there is a chance to bet on the winner's nationality, and this is an excellent long-term bet, as you can take Spain at 2.10. If you'd like a riskier bet with higher odds, you might be interested in taking Germany (5.50) or England (6.00).
