Zamalek are the second-greatest club in Egypt, only behind Al Ahly. However, after back-to-back titles in 2020/21 and 2021/22, their results started to decline. Last year, they finished third, 23 points behind the top spot, and this year, third place looks like the best-case scenario since Pyramids and Al Ahly are too far. Right now, they are 5th, seven points away from 3rd place, but with three games played less.
