Wycombe Wanderers aim to go top of the League One table against Huddersfield Town at Adams Park Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The hosts are currently two points behind leaders Birmingham City and have played one game more. A win against Huddersfield on Tuesday would see them take over at the top of the table, as Birmingham’s next League One game is not until next Saturday. Huddersfield, on the other hand, could close the gap on Wycombe (51 points), who are currently fourth with 44 points, to four points with an away win.
Wycombe’s recent form has been inconsistent - Matt Bloomfield’s side have won, lost and drawn one game in each of their last three League One encounters. Before the 2-1 defeat to Charlton, Wycombe had gone three games unbeaten, picking up seven points from a possible nine. However, that was also their only defeat in their last 22 League One games.
Huddersfield have had a very good run recently despite their lower position in the table. Michael Duff’s side are unbeaten in their last 14 games, winning nine and drawing five, which has put them in contention for the automatic promotion spot, which they currently trail by seven points.
Wycombe – Huddersfield Betting Tips: Both Teams to Score
Huddersfield have not lost any of their last five away games in League One, but the fact that Wycombe are also unbeaten in their last 10 home games makes this a tense affair.
Five of the last six meetings between Wycombe and Huddersfield have seen more than 2.5 goals scored, suggesting that Tuesday at Adams Park Stadium could be no different. Huddersfield have also scored in four consecutive away games in League One, so it is highly likely that both teams will score on Tuesday night.
