Romanians FCSB, making their first appearance on the European stage since the 2022/2023 Conference League, take on San Marino champions Virtus Acquaviva, who are making their European debut on Tuesday. 

Title winners in San Marino for the first time in their history, Virtus finished their campaign with victories in nine of their last ten matches. Luigi Bizzotto´s side claimed the title on the final day of the season, finishing just two points ahead of nearest rivals La Florita.

However, while in good form, the step-up to European level is likely to prove a tough one for the amateurs from Serravalle. 

FC SB make the trip to San Marino having returned to domestic action over the weekend, scoring a comfortable 3:0 win against Corvinul Hunedoara in the Romanian Super Copa.

Ilias Charalampous side claimed their first Romanian Liga 1 title since 2015. Back in the Champions League following a seven-year absence have a vastly deeper history in this competition, having even won the title in 1986.

While no longer a force on the continental stage, the Romanians should be expected to wrack up an easy win on Tuesday. 

A high-scoring road victory is expected, with FCSB expected to cover a -2 handicap in a game where we should see at least three, and likely four or more goals scored.
