The Thien Truong Stadium will host an intriguing friendly between Vietnam and India on Wednesday, with both teams aiming to break their recent run of poor results.

One of those home victories came against their midweek opposition, where the Vietnamese delivered a masterclass to hand India a crushing three-goal defeat. 

It wouldn't be surprising to see this outcome repeated, considering that the Blue Tigers have been mired in a results crisis for months, as they haven't tasted victory since a narrow win over Kuwait in November 2023, and their scoring troubles are becoming an increasing concern, managing to find the back of the net just twice in a dismal stretch of 10 winless matches. Even when playing as favorites, the Indians have struggled, so currently, we cannot envision a scenario where they could disrupt Vietnam, who will seek to make the most of their home ground to clinch a much-anticipated win.
