Stuttgart will be looking for a third win in a row when they host Young Boys in a Champions League contest at the MHPArena on Wednesday night.
VfB Stuttgart vs Young Boys Betting Tips - Stuttgart to Win
Two sides badly in need of UCL points square-off this week with pointless Young Boys looking to avoid a sixth successive Champions League defeat in Germany.
Stuttgart comes into Wednesday's encounter with spirits raised from a superb come-from-behind victory against Union Berlin on Saturday. Two goals behind in the second-half, VFB showed plenty of heart and quality to recover and claim a 3:2 win at the MHP Arena.
A slow start to the season sees the home side sit eighth in the Bundesliga, already 13 points behind a resurgent Bayern Munich. Still, Uli Hoeness´s side have improved in recent weeks with three wins and only one loss in their last five matches.
Five games into their UCL campaign, the Germans sit 27th in the 36-team league, two points outside of the qualification zone after a thumping 5:1 defeat against Crvena Zvezda last month.
Young Boys arrive in Germany having endured a miserable campaign both domestically, and in the Champions League. The Swiss champions sit down in eighth spot in the Swiss Super Liga while they have yet to pick up a point in Europe´s premier competition.
On their travels, the Swiss side have been particularly poor in recent weeks with five defeats and only one win recorded in their last eight road fixtures. Joel Magnin´s side slipped to a 3:1 defeat at Sion in their most recent away contest.
With Stuttgart beginning to pick up some steam, I expect the home side to take advantage of their road-sick opponents on Wednesday. A home win is my top tip in a game that could see a minimum of three goals scored.
