Inter will be confident of maintaining their winning form this weekend against a Verona side that continues to leak goals at an alarming rate. 

The home side return to action after the two-week international hiatus looking to improve on a poor run of results which has seen them lose four of their last five Serie A matches. Paulo Zanetti´s side conceded 15 goals across those five games, including a 6:1 humbling at Atalanta.

While Verona did claim a shock 3:2 win against Roma in their last home fixture, a repeat outcome seems unlikely against the champions. Again, defensive issues have been evident at Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi with 12 goals leaked across their last five home Serie A matches. Zanetti´s side lost three of those five games. 

Inter return to the north of Italy in confident form after extending their unbeaten run to ten matches with a 1:1 draw against Napoli a fortnight ago. I Nerazzurri won eight of those games including each of their last four road matches across all competitions. On their travels, five of Inter´s last seven away Serie A games also saw a minimum of three goals scored.

Verona did claim a 2:2 draw when they last hosted Inter in May, however, that result proved the exception with the Serie A champions winning ten of their 11 previous encounters since 2017. 

High-scoring outcomes have been frequent in this fixture. Ten of their last 13 meetings saw at least three goals scored and something similar should be on the cards this weekend. 

Unlikely to be an easy victory, Inter should have enough quality to score another road victory in a match that should see a minimum of three goals scored.
