IInter Milan will be eager to shake off their Supercoppa Italiana disappointment when they face Venezia on Sunday. After surrendering a two-goal lead to AC Milan in Riyadh, Simone Inzaghi’s men return to Serie A action looking to extend their winning run to six matches. 

A fine run of form domestically has seen the Nerazzurri remain unbeaten across their last 12 Serie A matches, with ten wins collected during that sequence. While sitting third in the division, Inter now find themselves only four points behind leaders Atalanta, and with the benefit of two games in hand. 

On the road, the Nerazzurri have been in superb form, picking up six consecutive away games in Serie A, a run built on defensive solidity and attacking firepower. Inter scored 18 goals while keeping clean sheets in each of their last five road victories. 

Venezia come into Sunday's Serie A contest having been held to draws in three of their last five league matches. A poor run of form has seen the home side lose five and win just one of their last nine Serie A matches.

Sitting 19th in the division, are unbeaten in their last three home fixtures, but with inter likely fired up following their derby defeat, it's tough to see how the hosts will pick up a positive result this weekend.

In the end, I expect the champions to return to winning form while continuing their prolific streak in front of goal. With that in mind, an away victory with at least three goals scored could well prove the best bet at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo.
