On Saturday evening, two relegation candidates, Valencia and Real Valladolid, will face off in the 27th round of La Liga at Estadio de Mestalla in Valencia.

Valencia are playing one of their worst seasons in a very long time as they found themselves in the relegation zone. They are sitting in 18th with 24 points from 25 matches. However, they are on level with points with 17th-placed Las Palmas, which are in the safe zone. Still, we believe the Bats are better than the teams from the bottom of the league's table and have started playing better lately, losing once in the last five La Liga matches.

Real Valladolid traveled between La Liga and La Liga 2 in the 21st century. Last year, they managed to secure promotion and are the main contender for the trip to La Liga. Our impression is that they do not belong in the Spanish top-flight division. Right now, they are at the bottom of the league's table with just 16 points in 26 matches and are in terrible form. Currently, they are eight points away from the safe zone, and if they lose this match, we can safely say they are on their way to La Liga 2.

Valencia vs Real Valladolid pick: Valencia to win and cover the -1.5 AH spread

Valencia are playing well in the past two months. They lost only three times in 11 matches, and those matches were against superb teams (Atletico Madrid and Barcelona twice). During that 11-game stretch, they had some very nice wins against Leganes, Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad, and Sevilla.

Meanwhile, Real Valladolid have been terrible throughout the season and are only getting worse as the season progresses. They stopped their six-game losing streak against Las Palmas in the last game (1:1). However, Las Palmas received an early red card, and that is the main reason why they won one point. Before that red card in the 29th minute, Las Palmas had a 1:0 lead. Additionally, Real Valladolid lost 12 out of 13 road La Liga games while losing by two or more goals on seven occasions.

We believe that the Bats are a much better team, and considering the difference in form and Valladolid's terrible road record, we expect a comfortable win for the hosts.
