La Liga action continues on Sunday evening as Valencia takes on Leganes at the Estadio de Mestalla.
Valencia vs Leganes Betting Tips - BTTS
Valencia return to action after claiming back-to-back home victories in La Liga for the first time since January 2024. Under the charge of recently appointed head coach Carlos Corberan, Los Che have picked up some form with four wins and only one defeat recorded in six matches played over the past month.
Of course, a painful 7:1 defeat at Barcelona will have dented confidence, but Valencia responded well last weekend, scoring a 2:1 win against Celta Vigo. Los Che had won only two of 13 previous home La Liga fixtures before recent victories against Real Sociedad (1:0) and the aforementioned Celta.
High-scoring outcomes have been relatively frequent at the Mestalla this season. Five of Valencia´s last seven home games saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored. An average of 3.28 goals were scored in those fixtures. Six of their seven most recent matches also saw both teams get on the scoresheet.
Leganes turn their attention to La Liga affairs after a painful 3:2 defeat against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday. Borja Jiménez´s side enjoyed a five-game unbeaten run before successive home defeats against Rayo Vallecano and Real in the past week.
Despite those setbacks, Leganes cannot be discounted this weekend. Los Pepineros have performed well on their travels, remaining unbeaten in their last seven road fixtures, and in six of their last eight away La Liga contests.
Jiménez´s men can usually be relied upon to score in away fixtures. Leganes only failed to net in one of eight previous away league matches.
With those numbers in mind, I'm taking a chance on both teams scoring at an attractive price, while Valencia can maintain their winning form with a narrow home victory also expected on Sunday.
