La Liga action continues with a rearranged fixture on Tuesday evening as Valencia takes on Espanyol at the Estadio de Mestalla.
Valencia vs Espanyol Betting Tips - Valencia to Win
Valencia maintained their impressive recent form with a 1:1 draw on the road at Rayo Vallecano on Saturday. A late goal from on-loan forward Umar Sadiq helped extend Los Che´s unbeaten run to seven matches.
A much-improved side since the arrival of former West Bromwich boss Carlos Corberan, Valencia have lost lost just one of their last 11 La Liga matches, and are now up to 14th in the division, seven points clear of the drop zone.
While relegation had looked a likely possibility for the former Champions League finalists, a superb run of home form has turned the season around for Valencia. Corberan´s side won six of their last seven La Liga games at the Mestalla.
Espanyol come into Tuesday's fixture having also enjoyed an improved run of form in recent weeks. Manolo González´s side claimed a 1:0 win against Getafe on Friday, and have now picked up ten points from their four most recent league fixtures, while they lost only one of eight previous La Liga encounters.
Level with Valencia on 38 points, the Catalans have also eased their relegation worries, and they now sit 13th in the division, having played one game fewer than their opponents on Tuesday.
While in fine form, including victories picked up in three of four previous road games, Espanyol have largely struggled in away games this season. The Barcelona-based outfit lost nine of their last 13 La Liga road matches, and they could struggle to contain a Valencia side that has built up such an impressive recent record at the Mestalla.
Each of the last five meetings between these sides finished with BTTS, and while a similar outcome has every chance on Tuesday, I'm putting my money on Valencia emerging victorious.
A home win is my best bet at the Mestalla.
