CFR Cluj returns to action on Monday with confidence boosted following a hard-fought 1:0 win against Hermannstadt earlier this week. Louis Munteanu´s 14th goal of the season helped Dan Petrescu´s side extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

Currently third in the Superliga, Cluj find themselves just one point behind rivals Universitatea Cluj and Dinamo Bucureşti, and only one point ahead of FCSB in a remarkably tight title race.

While a tough side to beat, Cluj have struggled to find much winning form in away matches. Petrescu´s men failed to win seven of their last ten road games, including each of their last three. 

A lack of attacking firepower has resulted in a series of low-scoring outcomes for Cluj in away fixtures. Nine of their ten previous matches on their travels saw under 2.5 goals scored.

UTA Arad come into Monday's contest after claiming a much-needed 1:0 win against Politehnica Iași in their last league fixture. Having failed to win their three previous matches, Mircea Rednic´s side claimed a fine away victory, lifting them up to tenth in the division.

Like Cluj, low-scoring outcomes have been frequent for the home side. Each of their last six fixtures saw under 2.5 goals scored, while the same outcome occurred in nine of their 12 previous home league fixtures.
