Uruguay will be looking to maintain their 100% record in Copa America 2024 when they face Brazil for the quarter-finals on Sunday morning in Las Vegas.
The Uruguayans proved why they are by far the most successful nation in the history of the Copa America in the Group stages. Pablo Quiroga’s side boast 15 titles in the competition, and their performances so far has increases their chances of clinching another trophy this year. La Celeste finished the Group stage with nine points from a possible nine points and conceded only one goal.
Brazil meanwhile have nine Copa America titles to their name. The last edition saw the Brazilians finished as runners-up after losing to Argentina at home and don’t like they can go all the way and claim the title this time. Dorival Júnior’s side won only one of their three games in the Group stages and considering that they lost their last competitive meeting with Uruguay, Sunday’s game could be a difficult one to watch for their fans.
Uruguay vs Brazil Betting Tips: Double chance Uruguay
The Uruguayans are in the form of their lives. They are unbeaten in their last five encounters across all competitions, registering four wins and playing out one draw. Pablo Quiroga’s side scored 13 goals in that spell and conceded just one.
Brazil have struggled to get results without Neymar Junior and Vinicious is also suspended for Sunday’s game. The Brazilians enter this weekend’s game with just two wins from their last six games across all competitions.
Sunday’s game will be the first meeting between Uruguay and Brazil in the Copa America since 2007. That game ended in a 2-2 draw and I fancy a similar outcome this weekend.

Uruguay team news
Maximiliano Araújo is a doubt for Uruguay head coach Pablo Quiroga this weekend due to injury.
The midfielder lasted only 27 minutes in the win over the United States last time out before being replaced and may be unfit to feature against Brazil.
Luis Suárez has featured as a substitute in the last two games and the experienced forward will once again start on the bench, making way for the in-form Liverpool forward Darwin Núñez.
