UEFA Nations League action takes place at the Estadio Enrique Roca de Murcia on Thursday as Ukraine takes on Belgium.

Murcia is the venue for a Nations League promotion/relegation playoff clash as Ukraine look to extend their unbeaten run against an out-of-form Belgium. 

Belgium will be desperate to improve their form under new boss Rudi Garcia with the Red Devils winless in each of their last five matches. A miserable run of results cost former boss Domenic Tedesco his job, with Belgium picking up just one point from their last five Nations League fixtures.

A 1:0 defeat against Israel in November proved the final straw for the Belgian federation, with former Roma boss Garcia now set for his first match in the Red Devils hotseat.

Belgium also have a poor road record in previous Nations League encounters with only one win recorded from their last seven away fixtures. 

Ukraine enters Thursday's matchup in better form with the hosts unbeaten in four previous Nations League fixtures. Having lost their first two games in League B, Serhiy Rebrov's side picked up the pace to secure eight points from their four remaining matches, including a 2:1 win in Albania in November. 

Boasting a solid record in home games, the Ukranians lost only one of seven previous UNL matches in various neutral locations over the past three years. While denied the opportunity to play in front of their home support, we can still expect the locals to provide plenty of backing for Ukraine this week. 

With Belgium short in confidence, Rebrov's men will fancy their chances of taking a positive result to Brussels next week. 

In what should prove a likely tight encounter, I'm backing Ukraine to avoid defeat in Murcia.
