PSV face a potentially tricky Eredivisie contest on Thursday when they take on Twente at De Grolsch Veste (Enschede).

PSV head to De Grolsch Veste on Thursday as they look to tighten their grip on a Champions League spot against fifth-placed Twente. 

Peter Bosz’s side come into this Eredivisie clash in high spirits after thrashing Almere City 5:0 last weekend. Sitting second in the division on 64 points, PSV remain five clear of Feyenoord in the race for UCL qualification, and still mathematically alive in the title chase, nine points behind leaders Ajax. 

High-scoring outcomes have been a feature of PSV's matches this season, particularly on their travels. Ten of their last 14 away matches saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals, with an average of over four goals scored across those 14 fixtures. An inability to keep clean sheets has proven an issue, with the visitors conceding at least one goal in ten of their 12 previous league contests. 

Twente come into Thursday's matchup now winless in four matches after a 1:1 draw away at PEC Zwolle last weekend. With just two points picked up during that run, the hosts now find themselves 11 behind Utrecht in the race for Europa League qualification. 

Joseph Oosting's side enjoyed a brilliant run of form in home fixtures this season, remaining unbeaten in their first 12 fixtures with nine wins collected in the process. However, they slipped to a heavy 6:2 home defeat against Feyenoord earlier this month, before a 1:1 draw against struggling Fortuna in their most recent match at De Grolsch Veste.

PSV have dominated recent meetings between these sides, picking up victories in each of their last four encounters, including a 6:1 demolition in December where six different players got on the scoresheet. Six of the last eight meetings between these sides finished with BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored, and I expect similar outcomes on Thursday.

BTTS is my best bet in what is sure to prove an entertaining contest at De Grolsch Veste.
