Twente came to this season after the best one in the last decade, finishing 3rd, only behind PSV and Feyenoord. Third place was enough for the Champions League Qualifiers (Playoff Round), but Salzburg eliminated them in a pretty close duel - 5:4 on aggregate. Even though they kept most of their team from last year and added a few interesting players, the Tukkers did not start the season great. They only won five points in the first four rounds and sit in 11th place. Since they are considered a top-four or five teams in the Netherlands, that is far from desirable.

Heerenveen have been a mid-table team over the previous decade, not even close to securing Europe. Last year, they finished 11th with just 37 points in 34 rounds. Over the Summer, "The Super Frisians" appointed the Netherlands star Robin van Persie as the new head coach. However, they started the season poorly, with four points in four rounds. The last game against AZ Alkmaar was a pure embarrassment as they lost 9:1, which marks the club's biggest defeat in 104-year-old history. Even though it is still early to judge, a mid-table finish looks like the most realistic scenario for Heerenveen.

Twente vs Heerenveen: Both teams to score

Twente did not open the season as expected, as they only won once in six games in all competitions, so we are hesitant to bet on them even though we consider them to be a better team than Heerenveen. At home, they drew all three games while scoring five goals - 1.7 per game. Last year, they were fantastic at De Grolsch Veste, winning 14 of 17 games, and we believe they are capable of scoring at home against most teams in Eredivisie.

Also, Twente have been great for this type of bet this year, as we saw both teams scoring in all six games in all competitions.

Heerenveen just suffered a devastating 9:1 loss against AZ Alkmaar, and it is hard to expect they can keep a clean sheet against anyone after such a performance. On the other hand, Heerenveen are scoring pretty regularly and have done so in three of four matches this season. They only failed to score against Ajax in the first game of the season. Considering Twente still doesn't have a clean sheet, we believe Heerenveen can score on the road.

In the previous h2h game, we saw a 3:3 draw. Additionally, four of the last six h2h games ended with both teams scoring. Considering all the above, both teams to score should be the safest option for this Eredivisie tie.
