Turkey qualified for the third consecutive EURO, but in the previous two, they finished the competition in the Group phase. In this EURO Qualifiers, probably no one was too surprised with them securing EURO, but finishing at the top, in front of Croatia, was surely a surprise. However, before the EURO Qualifiers, Turkey were far from impressive as they barely secured promotion from UEFA Nations League C to B and failed to reach the World Cup in Qatar. Before the tournament starts, the bookies offer the odds between 60 and 70 of them winning the title.
By reaching its first EURO appearance, Georgia pretty much fulfilled its goals. They had a rough Qualifying cycle as they finished 4th in Group with Spain, Scotland, Norway, and Cyprus. However, the popular Crusaders got the opportunity to qualify via playoffs after winning the UEFA Nations League C. They used that chance and beat Luxembourg and Greece which granted them a historic appearance. The bookies see Georgia as the weakest team in the tournament (along with Albania and Slovakia), offering the odds of 375 on them winning the title.
Turkey vs Georgia pick: Under 2.5 goals
Turkey are entering the EURO after a really poor stretch of games in the preparation period before the competition. In four friendly matches against Poland, Italy, Austria, and Hungary, Turkey won just one point while scoring just two goals - 0.5 per game. They had good ball possession in those matches and fine chances, but the realization is undoubtedly a problem.
Georgia have a couple of stars in Mamardashvili and Kvaratskhelia, but objectively, they lack the quality to play a free-flowing game against anyone in the Group. We expect them to try to slow the pace and look for their chances from counterattacks. Even though they had some success offensively in recent games, good offensive displays were only against poor teams that were not on Turkey's level (Montenegro, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Thailand, etc). In the EURO Qualifiers, if we exclude the Cyprus games, Georgia scored only six goals in six games.
Considering all the above, we believe that an under 2.5 goals bet is the safest option for this EURO match.

Turkey team news
Several good players are not in this EURO due to injuries: Caglar Soyuncu, Ozan Kabak, Cengiz Under, and the team's best striker, Enes Unal. A few days before the EURO, Unal posted on his social network that missing the EURO because of an injury is one of the biggest disappointments in his career.
With Unal out, the striker position is probably the weakest in the team. The Turkish media reports indicate that coach Vincenzo Montella will most likely opt for Barış Alper Yılmaz even though he plays more as a winger at the club.
