An intriguing Turkish Cup contest takes place on Wednesday with Alanyaspor looking to build on an impressive recent run of results in the Super Lig. 

The visitors arrive in Trabzon unbeaten in their last four matches after a 2:1 win against Konyaspor last Friday. A fine run of form over the past five weeks has seen Şenol Güneş´s men claim five wins while losing just one of their last seven matches. 

On the road, Alanyaspor have been less impressive though, with only one win picked up in their last ten away fixtures. 

BTTS has been a relatively frequent outcome for the away side. Six of their eight most recent fixtures saw both teams hit the target. 

Hosts Trabzonspor return to action after a disappointing 2:1 defeat at Samsunspor on Saturday. Carl Holse´s double-strike condemned Güneş´s side to a sixth defeat in nine games played since September. 

Defensively vulnerable, Trabzonspor have kept just two clean sheets across their last six matches and they could struggle to keep out an improving Alanyaspor side.
