Two struggling giants will collide in North London on Sunday afternoon as Tottenham Hotspur play host to Manchester United in Premier League matchweek 25.
Even though they entered the campaign as strong contenders for a top-four finish and a return to the Champions League stage after a two-year absence, Tottenham have put themselves in serious danger of missing out on Europe’s elite competition for a third straight season due to an unexpected string of disappointing results. A paltry 27-point collection from 24 matchweeks is simply unacceptable for a squad with such talent and power on paper, but Spurs have dramatically underperformed this term, finding themselves shockingly closer to the drop zone by 10 points than to European spots, as sixth-placed Newcastle escape them by a whopping 14 points.
Compared to Sunday's hosts, Manchester United haven't displayed much better football, as they are better than Spurs by just two slender points, meaning they will have a big mountain to climb until the end of the season if they hope to sneak into the European spoints. The impact of the recently appointed Ruben Amorim in the Premier League has yet to be seen, as the Red Devils have posted just four wins from 13 league assignments under his leadership, which leaves them in a serious deficit of 14 points to Chelsea, who hold the final direct Champions League qualification spot.
Tottenham vs Manchester United Betting Tips : X2 (DOUBLE CHANCE)
This will be the third meeting between these rivals of the current campaign, with Spurs proving superior in both encounters, first hammering Man Utd at Old Trafford 3-0 in the league before clinching a thriller 4-3 triumph in the Carabao Cup. This time, however, we expect the Red Devils to deliver a far more resolute display and at the very least prevent ailing Tottenham from outplaying them again, especially at a moment when the London side finds itself in turmoil, having managed to win just five of their last 14 matches across all competitions. In addition, Ruben Amorim's squad heads into Sunday's battle with much more strenght and confidence, gained from their recent boost in form across all fronts, having been victorious in six of their last eight competitive fixtures, including three wins on the spin away from home. The Red Devils have been particularly impressive on the road recently, having edged past a tricky Fulham side 1-0, knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup, and held league leaders Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Anfield, so we believe Amorim’s men have a golden opportunity to put in a strong display and avoid defeat against a Tottenham side struggling with a packed injury list.

Tottenham team news
As mentioned, Tottenham have been crippled by the absence of a large number of players, with none of Radu Dragusin, nor the attacking trio of Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke and Richarlison available for selection due to injuries.
With first-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario sidelined after ankle surgery, winter signing Antonin Kinsky is expected to step between the posts, while Mathys Tel will lead the attack as the main striker.

Manchester United team news
Manchester United heads to the English capital without their key defensive duo, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw, both sidelined long-term with serious injuries, along with Mason Mount.
It wouldn’t be surprising if Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim handed Joshua Zirkzee a starting role in attack, given how the Dutchman impressed off the bench against Leicester in the FA Cup, potentially leaving Rasmus Hojlund on the bench.
