Since returning to Ligue 1 in 2017, Strasbourg were almost always a mid-table team. That seems like a realistic goal in the current season, too. In the first five games of the new season, Strasbourg collected a solid six points. Last weekend, they played 3-3 on the road against Lille. Liam Rosenior's team had a good chance for all three points, but the home side scored an equalizer late in the second half. Still, Strasbourg have to be satisfied with one point from that game, as not so many teams will take points from Stade Pierre-Mauroy. 

The eighth position from the 2023/24 season was one of the worst results in the last decade for one of the most recognized French clubs, Marseille. They have ambitions to return to where they think they belong - to the top of Ligue 1. After five rounds, Marseille, PSG, and Monaco share the top position of the table with four wins and one draw. In the previous game, they won 3-2 on the road against Lyon. The home side probably deserved much more from that match as they finished the game with an xG of 2.92, while the guests had only 0.93. However, Marseille's outstanding efficiency was enough for all three points.
