In recent seasons, St Liege have mostly been a mid-table team, and it seems that ain't going to change this season. Pretty much from the start of the season, St Liege were between seventh and 12 place, which would lead them to the Conference League Group. Right now, they are in 7th place with 35 points from 25 matches, only two points away from reaching the Championship Group. However, we doubt they can make it because they will only face good teams in the remaining five games of the regular season - Genk, Club Brugge, Anderlecht, Royale Union SG, and Antwerp. Those are all teams better placed than St Liege.

The last time Genk won the title was in the 2022/23 season. But after the title, they had a terrible season, failing even to reach Europe. This season, since they are focused only on the domestic competition, they are doing well. Right now, they are at the top spot with 57 points from 25 matches - a comfortable six points above the reigning champs, Club Brugge.

With 49 goals in 25 rounds (almost two goals per game), Genk are the second-best offensive team, and scoring at least one goal against anyone in the league is a must. However, considering they kept a clean sheet just once in the last eight road games, we do not believe in their defense.
