Sporting will be looking to put an end to their recent poor run of form when they host FC Porto for the League Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

Some 55 days have passed since Ruben Amorim left his post as Sporting CP coach and things haven't been the same since. The Lions have played ten games since then, registering only four wins – four defeats whilst two ended in draws. But with all four of those victories coming at this ground, Gomes Borges' men will be fancying their chances of beating Porto on Tuesday.

Porto's form is the polar opposite of their hosts'. The Blue and Whites were last seen in action over a week ago when they hosted Boavista in the Primeira Liga. Vítor Bruno's men took all three points with a 3:0 win, stretching their winning run to four games and closed the gap on the top of the table to just one point.

Sporting CP vs FC Porto Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals

Since the departure of Ruben Amorim, Sporting have struggled to find a balance between defence and attack. Indeed, the Lions conceded four goals against Vitoria SC last time out and have kept just one clean sheet in their last five games at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa.

Porto did manage to keep a clean sheet in their last away game, but only for the first time in five such outings. All five of those games produced more than three goals, raising the prospect of more than two goals on Tuesday.

  • Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
  • Sporting CP vs FC Porto prediction: 2-2
