The second leg of the Nations League quarter-final tie between Spain and the Netherlands takes place this weekend as Spain host the Netherlands on Saturday evening.
Spain went into the first leg full of confidence after four consecutive wins and were favourites to emerge victorious. Despite taking the lead after just nine minutes, the Red Fury were left begging for a draw, which they eventually got thanks to an injury-time goal from Arsenal striker Mikel Merino.
After the 2:2 draw in midweek, the Netherlands have now won just two of their last seven games in all competitions and shipped nine goals in total. However, Ronald Koeman's men will be buoyed by the fact that their only defeat in that run came against Germany on Matchday 4 and they conceded just one goal, despite being without their captain Virgil van Dijk.
Spain vs Netherlands Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
The game in midweek was another example of good Spain can be in the final third. Luis de la Fuente’s men have now scored at least twice in each of their last four encounters and I fancy them to extend that run this weekend. All four matches ended with three or more goals.
The Netherlands are also doing very well offensively at the moment, as Koeman’s men boast at least one goal from all but one of their last eleven matches. Eight of those games ended with three or more goals scored.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
- Spain vs Netherlands prediction: 2-1

Spain team news
Spain will be without the services of Pau Cubarsí when they face the Netherlands this weekend due to a serious injury.
The Barcelona defender lasted just over 40 minutes in the first leg before being forced off through an ankle injury.
Head coach Luis De La Fuente has called up Lazio defender Mario Gila to replace Cubarsí in the Spain squad.
Having come off the bench to score the equalizer in the first leg, Mikel Merino will be pushing for a start this weekend, but he is unlikely to replace any of the front three of Williams, Morata and Yamal.

Netherlands team news
The Netherlands didn't pick up any injuries in the first leg, but they suffered a setback of their own when Jorrel Hato was sent off in the 81st minute.
Matthijs de Ligt is a possible replacement in defence, but head coach Ronald Koeman is expected to stick with most of the team that started in Rotterdam.
