Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland clash at Hillsborough on Friday night, with both side looking to recover from back-to-back defeats in the Championship. 

Danny Rohl’s side have dropped to 13th place, six points outside the playoff spots, while Sunderland’s automatic promotion hopes have taken a hit, leaving them eight points off the top two with just 12 games left.

The hosts come into Friday's contest having lost three of their last four matches, including a 4:0 defeat at promotion-chasing Burnley last weekend. 

The Owls have been stronger at home, going unbeaten in eight of their last ten matches, but their defensive struggles have seen BTTS landing in their last five games at Hillsborough. 

Sunderland return to action after back-to-back losses against Leeds and Hull City. The Black Cats had enjoyed an eight-game unbeaten run prior to those setbacks. 

Roger le Bris´s side have struggled to find their best form in away matches, with only three wins picked up in their last 11 road games. BTTS has landed in four of their last six matches, including their last two away fixtures and a similar outcome looks to be on the cards on Friday.
