Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to avoid an elimination in the fourth round of the FA Cup in back to back campaigns when they host Coventry City on Friday night.
The hosts have had little to celebrate in the English second division this season, with the team currently in the bottom two, but their performance in the third round of the FA Cup had fans cheering. Danny Röhl's side notched up their highest win of the season with a 4-0 victory over Cardiff City and will certainly be hoping for a similar performance this week.
Coventry are not far off where they finished the 2022-23 season in the Championship. Mark Robins' side are sixth in the table, having picked up 43 points from their 28 games so far, and beat Oxford Utd 6-2 in the third round to get this far. Coventry last went beyond the FA Cup fourth round in 2017-18, but given their recent good record against Sheffield - three wins from the last three meetings - they will fancy their chances of reaching the fifth round this time.
Sheffield Wednesday vs Coventry Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
Sheffield Wednesday have had little to no problems when it comes to scoring goals in recent weeks. Danny Röhl's men have failed to score in just one of their last thirteen games in all competitions, and have scored at least three times in 3 of their last four outings.
Coventry City cannot also be written off when it comes to scoring goals. Mark Robins' men scored at least once in each of their last thirteen games and boast at least two goals in each of their last seven games. At least four goals were seen in four of their last five outings.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
- Sheffield Wednesday vs Coventry prediction: 2-2

Sheffield Wednesday team news
Five Sheffield United players saw yellow cards in the defeat against Coventry City in the league last time out. It was the fourth game in a row in which the Owls have received at least three cautions.
Juan Delgado missed that game with a hip injury and is also expected to miss Friday's game, but the right-winger is head coach Danny Röhl's only injury concern.

Coventry team news
Haji Wright will again be unavailable to Coventry head coach Danny Röhl through injury, but the striker is the visitors' only injury concern.
Ben Sheaf's brace last time out took his tally to three goals for the season and the 25-year-old will keep his place in the engine room, while Joel Latibeaudiere is pushing for a start in defence.
