On Wednesday evening, Sevilla will welcome relegation candidate Cadiz in the 36th round of La Liga at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in Sevilla.

Sevilla are having a second poor season in a row in La Liga. Last year, they finished 11th but saved the season with the Europa League title. This season mirrors a similar trend, as they find themselves in a similar position in La Liga standings, although without the European success to compensate. Right now, the Andalusian team is 12th with 41 points in 35 rounds, without a real chance of reaching the European spots. Sevilla even flirted with dropping to the danger zone for a big part of the season, but with a good last month and a half, they moved to the middle of the table.

Cadiz barely secured survival in the last two seasons, finishing just two and one point above the danger zone. However, the popular Yellow Submarine will probably not be as lucky this year, considering they are five points away from the 16th and 17th-placed Celta Vigo and Rayo Vallecano, and there are only three rounds left. Still, a win in the last game vs Getafe gave them something to hold on to, and with a strong end of the season, they might survive somehow. 

Sevilla vs Cadiz pick: Sevilla to win

Before losing the last game to Villarreal 3:2 away from home, Sevilla were in excellent form, winning 13 points in five rounds. Generally speaking, Sevilla are doing well in the last part of the season. If we look only at the previous 15 rounds in La Liga, Sevilla would easily secure a top-six spot.

Meanwhile, Cadiz ended its four-game winless streak with a 1:0 win over Getafe in a super-close game. Away from home, Cadiz have been simply terrible throughout the season, winning only six points in 17 rounds. They also lost three in a row away from home while scoring only one goal, so it is hard to expect a positive result.

In the first h2h game, we saw a 2:2 draw at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, in which Sevilla totally outplayed Cadiz and deserved a win. Additionally, Sevilla won eight of the last ten h2h games, while the remaining two ended as a draw.

Cadiz will have a much bigger motive in this match, but considering the previous h2h games and all the above, we believe Sevilla should secure a comfortable home win.
