Sevilla spoiled their fans with a great most of the 21st century, so it is surely still weird to see the team from Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan being only a mid-table team. Sevilla are 12th on the table, but with a good rest of the season, Garcia Pimienta's team could get into the mix for are place in the Conference League. However, to reach those heights, Sevilla have to improve, as they won only one of the last six matches in all competitions. In the previous game, Pimienta's team played 0-0 on the road against Getafe. In a match where neither of the teams didn't create much, a draw was probably the fairest outcome.

With the new year, Barcelona returned to magnificent form, winning seven of the last nine matches. Last weekend, they won 1-0 at home against Alaves. The home side had trouble breaking stubborn opponents, but they found a way to one goal and three points.
