AFC World Cup Qualification continues in Jeddah on Thursday as Saudi Arabia takes on Japan at King Abdullah Sports City.

Saudi Arabia vs Japan  Betting Tips - Japan or Draw

An in-form Japan will be confident of making another giant stride towards World Cup qualification when they visit Saudi Arabia this week. Led by experienced boss Hajime Moriyasu, the Blue Samurai have wracked up eight wins from their last nine matches, including each of their last six.

Not short of ideas in the final third, Moriyasu´s attack-minded side scored an impressive 26 goals in those six recent victories, including a stunning pair of victories against China (7:0) and Bahrain (5:0) in their first 3rd round Group C fixtures last month.

Strong on their travels, Japan have picked up nine wins and just two losses from their last 11 away fixtures, and find themselves at the top of the section ahead of their trip to Jeddah.

While Japan have been in fantastic form, Saudi Arabia's recent results have been a little less impressive. Having suffered a surprise 2:1 defeat against Jordan in the previous round of qualification, the Falcons were then held to a hugely disappointing 1:1 draw against Indonesia. A come-from-behind win in China in their most recent qualifier did at least ease the mounting pressure on head coach Roberto Mancini.

With the Japanese in such strong form, I expect the visitors to pick up at least a point in what is sure to be a keenly-contested World Cup qualifier where both sides will expect a positive result.

Despite losing on both of their last trips to Saudi Arabia, I´m backing Japan in the double chance market on Thursday.
