Atalanta will be looking to continue their impressive start to the 2024-25 Italian top flight campaign on Monday night when take on Roma away from home.
After a disastrous start to the season that saw Roma part company with two managers in Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric, the appointment of Claudio Ranieri over a fortnight ago brought hope to the Giallorossi faithful. Ranieri is yet to record a win in his two games in charge, but his side showed resilience against Tottenham Hotspur in Europe last time out, twice coming from behind to draw 2-2.
Atalanta meanwhile have been in fine form in all competitions this season, with the exception of their defeat to Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final in August. The visitors are yet to be beaten in the Champions League this season and sit fifth in the table above heavyweights such as Arsenal, Man City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Following their 6-1 thrashing of Young Boys in midweek, Gian Piero Gasperini's men have now won each of their last seven matches and will be keen to extend that run on Monday.

Hermoso is nursing a muscle injury that has seen him missed the last six games and Monday’s game will come too soon for the defender.
