Galatasaray will be looking to recover from the disappointing display in Europe last time out and extend their lead at the top of the Super Lig standings when they visit Rizespor on Monday.
Rizespor travelled to the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium last Sunday in search of their second away win in 2025. Despite equalizing on the half-hour mark after going behind in the 26th minute, the Sparrowhawks ended up losing and conceded three goals for the second match running. İlhan Palut's men have now won just one of their last four matches. However, they will be buoyed by the fact that their only win in that run came at home.
Galatasaray have a game in hand in the Turkish top flight after last weekend's match against Adana Demirspor was abandoned following a controversial refereeing decision. They arrived fresh in the Netherlands in midweek for their Europa League play-off clash with AZ Alkmaar but got humiliated. Okan Buruk's side conceded four goals in a match for the first time since August 2024, scoring only one.
Rizespor vs Galatasaray Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
Although Rizespor will be heavy underdogs going into Monday's game given their record against Galatasaray, they are currently on a great run in front of goal and I fancy them to score. Indeed, Palut's men have found the back of the net at least twice in each of their last four matches, with the same number of games ending with three or more goals.
Galatasaray don't have a problem scoring either, especially in meetings with Rizespor, against whom they scored eleven goals in the last two meetings alone. All but one of the last six meetings between the two sides have ended with 4+ goals and I fancy a similar result on Monday.

Kaan Ayhan was dismissed for two yellow cards against AZ Alkmaar in midweek but the midfielder will be available for Monday’s game as his suspension doesn’t count in the Turkish top flight.
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk remains without the services of Mauro Icardi who is still recovering from a cruciate ligament injury.
Yunus Akgün and Ismail Jakobs will also missed the Lions’ trip to Rizespor due to knee and Achilles tendon injuries, respectively.
The good news for the visitors is that Nigerian professional Victor Osimhen is available for selection after serving a Europa League ban in midweek.
