Two Segunda Division sides six places apart go head to head on Sunday evening as Real Zaragoza play host to Malaga.
Real Zaragoza have been far from their best since the 2019-20 campaign, when they finished third in the Spanish second division. Even with the significant changes head coach Víctor Fernández has brought to the team, Los Blanquillos sit outside the top three and have lost three of their last four home league encounters. However, they take a three-match unbeaten run in all competitions into this weekend's clash and could leapfrog second-placed Sporting Gijon with victory on Sunday.
Malaga are in a better position compared to last season. The visitors managed just ten wins in 44 games last term, but they have almost halved that tally with 31 games in hand. Sergio Pellicer's men are unbeaten in four league games and having won the last two 2-0 on aggregate, they will fancy their chances of securing three points at La Romareda this weekend.
Real Zaragoza vs Malaga Betting Tips: Both teams to score
Malaga have kept clean sheets in each of their last four league games but they always struggle defensively against Zaragoza. The visitors failed to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last nine encounters with Zaragoza, conceding a total of ten goals in the process and bets on btts - yes won in as many games.
Real Zaragoza don't have the best defensive record either. Los Blanquillos bring a run of eleven consecutive games without a clean sheet and both teams scored in their last eight outings.
