Real Valladolid vs Valencia Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals

A crucial clash between La Liga's bottom two sides, Real Valladolid and Valencia takes place this weekend with both teams fighting to escape the threat of relegation.

Sixteen games into their La Liga campaign, Valladolid come into Friday's vital clash having picked up just nine points this season. Sitting at the bottom of the division, Álvaro Rubio's side have won just one of their last 15 games since an opening day of the season win against Espanyol.

More recently, Valladolid picked up just one point from their four most recent league encounters.

Winless in their last seven home matches since that victory, Valladolid now find themselves six points short of safety. Four goals scored in those seven matches suggests a lack of firepower remains the biggest issue for Rubio´s men. 

Visiting Valencia comes into Friday's contest having endured a similarly miserable run of results this year.  Rubén Baraja´s side have won just two of their 14 most recent league fixtures, leaving them just one point above Valladolid in 19th, albeit having played two games fewer.

On the road, Los Che have been particularly poor, failing to win any of their last ten away La Liga matches. Valencia lost seven of those games.

Like Valladolid, Valencia have a poor goal-scoring record, especially in away fixtures. Baraja´s men scored just two goals in their last six road games.

With both teams struggling for goals in respective home and away matches, a low-scoring outcome seems likely on Friday.

Under 2.5 goals is my top tip, for what is likely to prove a tense and tight La Liga contest.
