Real Madrid vs Valencia Betting Tips - Real Madrid to Win/BTTS

Real Madrid turns their attention back to La Liga business after a remarkable midweek Copa del Rey victory against Real Sociedad. After a 1:0 win in the first-leg in San Sebastian, an enthralling eight-goal thriller saw Los Merengues emerge with a 5:4 aggregate victory after a 4:3 draw following extra-time.

In possession of a strong record at the Bernabeu this season, Real claimed victories in all but two of 14 home La Liga fixtures since August. While dominant in home encounters, Los Merengues have been a little vulnerable defensively in recent matches. The European champions secured a 3:2 win in their most recent La Liga game against Leganes last weekend after trailing 2:1 in the second half.

As a result of their defensive frailties,  home clean sheets have been rare with just one in their last 11 matches at the Bernabeu. Frequently involved in high-scoring outcomes, Carlo Ancelotti´s men have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in six of their last seven matches and something similar seems likely on Saturday.

Valencia arrives in Spain´s capital having enjoyed an improved run of form in recent weeks. Los Che won three and lost only one of their last seven La Liga fixtures.

Up to 15th in the division, Carlos Corberan´s side are unbeaten in their last four games, picking up ten points in the process. Valencia now sit four points above the drop zone after a miserable start to the season saw them win just two of their first 19 games. Los Che have since won five of their last ten league fixtures.

With Valencia picking up form, we should see an entertaining contest on Saturday. I expect Real to eventually claim the spoils with the visitors likely to get on the scoresheet.
