On Wednesday evening, two in-form teams, PSG and Aston Villa, will face off in the first leg of the Champions League Quarter-Finals at Parc des Princes in Paris.
PSG have been a dominant force in France, winning 10 of the last 12 league titles. With six rounds to go in Ligue 1, PSG already won another title this year! However, their real goal is to finally win the Champions League title. This year, they had ups and downs in the League Phase but are doing great in the knockout round. After beating Brest (10:0 on aggregate), they eliminated one of the main contenders for the title, Liverpool (2:1 on aggregate).
Aston Villa became one of the best England teams under coach Unai Emery. They had a fantastic last season in the Premier League, finishing fourth. This season, it looked like the Villans would fail to replicate such good results, but as the season progressed, they only looked better. Right now, they are in sixth place but just one point away from the desired fourth place. But besides their success in the PL and the CL, the Villans also reached the FA Cup Semi-Finals, where they will face off against Crystal Palace.
PSG vs Aston Villa pick: Over 2.5 goals

Aston Villa are on a fantastic run, winning eight games in a row in all competitions. They have also been fantastic offensively, scoring two or more goals on seven occasions and three (or more) six times. Looking further back, the Villans scored at least once in 13 consecutive games and should score against PSG as well.
Both teams have been fantastic offensively and mostly played high-scoring games recently because of it. Considering all the above, we expect an exciting, high-scoring game, most likely with both teams scoring.
PSG team news
Centre-back Marquinhos received his third yellow card in the previous CL game against Liverpool and will be unavailable. With him out, Willian Pacho and Lucas Beraldo will most likely start at the back.
When it comes to injuries, the team should have almost the entire squad available. Only Lee Kang-in should miss the game due to an ankle injury.

After a 2:1 win over Nottingham Forest, coach Unai Emery spoke to the media. He was very happy because of another win and said their momentum is fantastic after winning seven games in a row. "We are very focused on each match, very focused on how we can improve and how we can get better," the coach added.
Leon Bailey and Ross Barkley, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined.
Interestingly, Champions League rules allow Marco Asensio to play against PSG even though he is on a loan deal. However, we do not expect him on the field regardless.
