Benfica are level on points with bitter city rivals Sporting in the battle for the Primeira Liga title, but they must beat their biggest rivals FC Porto at the Estadio Do Dragao on Monday to stay in contention for the rest of the season.

The visitors have been on a great run in the league of late, winning eight games in a row to keep pace with Sporting in the title race. Their most recent victory came last weekend with a 3-2 win over Farense, which was also the fifth game in a row in which they scored at least three goals.

Porto, on the other hand, have not performed well enough to keep up with the two Lisbon teams in the title race. They have won just four of ten possible games in the Primeira Liga in the last three months and are therefore almost out of the title race. However, they have won their last two league games, albeit not entirely convincingly - last weekend they beat Estoril 2-1.

FC Porto - Benfica Betting Tips: Both Teams to Score

Although FC Porto’s hopes of winning the Primeira Liga title are slowly fading seven match days before the end of the season, the Dragons are invincible at the Estadio Do Dragao this season. Porto are the only team yet to lose at home in the Primeira Liga this season, scoring a goal in every game, winning 10 and drawing 3 and conceding just 5 goals so far.

However, they face Benfica, who have scored the second most goals in the Primeira Liga this season and have won three games in a row in recent weeks. They have also scored in 11 of their last 12 away games this season, so we expect both teams to score on Monday.
