Paris FC return to competitive action this Monday looking to maintain their Ligue 1 promotions hopes after a disappointing 3:0 defeat against Laval before the international break.

Stéphane Gilli´s men had enjoyed a strong run of form before their setback a fortnight ago, picking up six wins from seven previous Ligue 2 encounters.

Sitting third in the division, just four points behind league leaders Metz, the Parisien side have been particularly strong in recent matches at Stade Charléty. Paris won each of their last five home Ligue 2 games, while they have lost just one of 11 previous fixtures in front of their own fans. 

Contrastingly, Caen makes the trip to France´s capital in dire form with 12 defeats and only one win recorded in 15 games played since mid-December. The visitors have picked up just five points from 15 Ligue 2 matches over the past five months. 

With 27 games played this season, Stéphane Dumont´s side now find themselves at the bottom of the division with only 19 points on the board.

A miserable record on the road has seen Caen lose eight of their last ten away Ligue 2 fixtures, and with Paris FC in such strong form at Stade Charléty, another fruitless day at the office seems likely for the Ligue 2 strugglers.
