The CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers continue at Estadio ueno Defensores del Chaco on Thursday as Paraguay takes on Argentina.

A competitive and keenly contested World Cup qualifier can be expected in Asuncion with Paraguay more than capable of troubling their Argentine visitors.

An improved run of form sees the Paraguayans come into Friday's contest unbeaten in their last four World Cup qualifying fixtures. Home wins against Brazil and Venezuela as well as a point gained in Uruguay leaves the Parguayans sixth in the section and inside the qualification positions.

On the road, the Argentines are usually involved in tight contests, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last nine away World Cup qualifiers. 

Recent meetings between these nations have typically been competitive and low-scoring. Each of their last seven encounters saw under 2.5 goals with only seven goals scored in those matches.

Given previous meetings and current form, I'm confident we will see fewer than three goals scored in Asuncion.
