An evenly matched contest is expected as Chilean hosts Palestino look to build a first-leg advantage against Brazilian visitors Cuiaba. 

Cuiaba secured their place in the knockout phase of the Copa Sudamericana with an impressive performance in the group phase. The Serie A side finished second in Group G, picking up three wins and three draws to remain unbeaten in the section. 

On their travels, Cuiaba have proven a tough side to beat, both in this competition and in recent away fixtures. Petit´s side have won four and lost just one of their last seven road games. The Brazlians also picked up seven points from three away matches during the group phase. 

Usually reliable for a goal, the visitors saw BTTS in each of their last five matches and in five of their last six away fixtures. Cuiaba scored at least one goal in their last seven games away from home.

Hosts Palestino drop into the Copa Sudamericana after finishing third in Group E of the Copa Libertadores. Lucas Bovaglio´s side did claim wins in two of three home games played in the group phase, while they have picked up victories in five of their last six home matches since April. 

An entertaining side to watch, the Chileans saw at least three goals netted in seven of their last eight games, and I expect another strong performance from the home side.

With both teams in good form, this should prove a decent tie in Chile, and I expect both teams to get on the scoresheet. BTTS is my preferred pick, while I also fancy a share of the spoils at the Estadio Municipal Alcaldesa Ester Roa Rebolledo.
