Osasuna will be looking to continue their impressive home form this season on Sunday afternoon when they play host to Villarreal in La Liga.
The hosts have stepped up their game in recent months. Daniel Pendín's side are currently in the European places, which is surprising for a team that finished outside the top half of the table last season. One of the main reasons for their rise has been their form at El Sadar. In fact, only reigning champions Real Madrid have a better home record than Osasuna in the Spanish top flight this season.
Villarreal have also shown a marked improvement compared to last season. El Submarino currently occupy fourth place in the La Liga table and will take a three-game winning streak into Sunday's clash. Marcelino García Toral's side won the two league games played during that run 5-1 on aggregate and will be looking to carry that form into Sunday's clash.
Osasuna vs Villarreal Betting Tips: Draw & over 2.5 goals
While Osasuna will be relying heavily on their home form, Villarreal can take heart from their record away from El Madrigal this season: only the leaders Barcelona have a better away record than the Yellow Submarines in La Liga this season.
Most of Osasuna's home games this season have produced plenty of goals. Their last outing at El Sadar produced just one goal but none of the previous four matches produced fewer than three goals.
One thing Villarreal have struggled with on the road this season is defending. Marcelino García Toral's side haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their seven away games this season and I expect that run to continue this weekend.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals

Osasuna team news
Osasuna didn’t register any injuries in the defeat to Osasuna prior to the international break, but head coach Daniel Pendín is expected to make plenty of changes to his XI.
Having featured as substitutes in that game, the likes of Moi Gómez, Iker Muñoz and José Arnaiz are among those who will be hoping for a place in the starting eleven this weekend.
A booking for either Jon Moncayola or Lucas Torró on Sunday will result in a one match ban but the hosts don’t have any other pressing issues.

Villarreal team news
Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral will once again be without the services of Ilias Akhomach on Sunday due to injury.
Akhomach hasn’t featured for the Yellow Submarines since the ninth of November and this weekend’s game will come too soon for the winger.
The visitors’ injury list also includes forward Ayoze Pérez and winger Nicolas Pépé who are dealing with muscle injuries.
