  • Competition: Spain - LaLiga
  • Date: Sunday, 2nd, March 2025
  • Kickoff: 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
  • Venue: Estadio El Sadar (Pamplona)

Desperate to move out of the relegation zone, Valencia must overcome a tricky away test against Osasuna at El Sadar in LaLiga’s Round 26 on Sunday.

The Pamplona side has hit a dry spell recently, with their winless run extending to three league matches after suffering a narrow one-goal defeat to Celta de Vigo last weekend. Even with their recent dip in form, Osasuna's hopes of securing a continental spot are still alive, as they remain just three points behind Rayo Vallecano, who currently hold the final UEFA qualification spot.

While the Sunday hosts are looking towards Europe, six-time Spanish champions Valencia are fighting for every point to stay afloat in the top division, as they currently first below the dreaded dotted line with a paltry 23-point haul from 25 gameweeks. Last week, Los Ches were given a harsh reality check as title-chasing Atlético Madrid handed them a painful 3-0 defeat at Mestalla, meaning they will need a swift and decisive response to get back on track.

Osasuna vs Valencia Betting Tips : UNDER 2.5

With Osasuna pushing to keep their European hopes alive and Valencia fighting to escape the relegation scrap, we can expect a highly strategic and hard-fought encounter in which neither team will take unnecessary risks while patiently searching for breakthroughs. In that case, the tempo should remain tight and the goals scarce, and it wouldn’t be a shock if Valencia and Osasuna once again settled for a share of the spoils, just like in the reverse fixture where the deadlock remained unbroken. A closer look at their recent encounters reveals a goal drought, with no more than a single goal being registered in three of the last four meetings between these rivals, and we are hopeful that another low-scoring contest is on the cards.

The inability of the Pamplona side to carve out victories is partly due to their lack of firepower up front, as they have failed to score more than one goal in eight of their last nine La Liga matches. When it comes to Valencia, they are facing numerous struggles on the road, as not only are they the only La Liga team without an away win, but they have also been incredibly ineffective in attack, scoring just seven goals from 12 league trips. Taking all these factors into account, we’re confident that we’re in for a very cautious match with a slow tempo and minimal chances in front of goal.

Valencia team news

In terms of fitness, Valencia is in a strong spot, with the only setback being Thierry Correia, who is out for the rest of the season due to an ACL injury.

After a heavy 0-3 defeat to Atletico Madrid last week, manager Carlos Corberan might mix things up and consider bringing Hugo Duro back into the attack.
