An intriguing encounter awaits us on Thursday night when Slovenia top flight side Celje host Fiorentina for the first leg of the Conference League quarter-finals.
Celje beat Lugano 3-1 on penalties to reach this stage, while Fiorentina overcame Panathinaikos 5-4 on aggregate in their own last-16 tie.
The hosts have not lost since the 2nd of March and go into Thursday's game on a seven-game unbeaten run. Albert Riera's side have won each of their last five, a run that includes a 1-0 win over Maribor that sent them through to the semi-finals of the Slovenian Cup.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, put their three-game winning streak to a test last weekend when they travelled to Milan for the 31st matchday of the Serie A season. Things started well but ended badly for the Violets as they shared the points after being two goals up with just ten minutes on the clock.

Fiorentina's 2-2 draw with Milan in Serie A last weekend was yet another example of how poor the Violets have been defensively on the road this season. Raffaele Palladino's side have not kept a clean sheet in their last ten away games, and two of their three European outings in that period yielded four or more goals.
