Nigeria vs Zimbabwe Betting Tips - Nigeria to Win

Nigeria will be looking to maintain their positive start to the CAF World Cup qualifiers when they host Zimbabwe in Uyo.

The Super Eagles face their first home fixture in Uyo after successfully navigating Friday´s trip to Rwanda. A brace from Victor Osimhen secured a 2:0 win in Kigali. Unbeaten in eight of their last nine matches, Nigeria´s only slip-up during that run came against Rwanda in a AFCON qualifier last November.

While the Super Eagles have failed to win each of their last five home World Cup qualifiers since 2021, they have enjoyed better results in recent matches in front of their own support. Nigeria won four of their last six home games, and a similar outcome is expected on Tuesday.

Zimbabwe take the trip to Uyo after they began their campaign with a 2:2 draw against Benin last Thursday. After falling two goals down in the first-half, Éric Chelle´s side showed their powers of recovery to claim a point in Durban.

Now winless in their last five internationals since October, the Warriors now face a stiff test of their credentials against an opponent they have had little previous success. Zimbabwe failed to win any of their last six matches against the Super Eagles, while they lost both of two previous competitive away games in Nigeria since 2006.

With an in-form Victor Osimhen set to lead the Nigerian attack, I expect the hosts to maintain their winning start against a Zimbabwe side that rarely travels well.

A home win is my best bet at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
