Niger and Ghana face off in Morocco on Monday afternoon with both sides looking to register their first points in the competition.

The national team of Niger have not had a lot of good results in the last few months. Le Mena go into Monday's AFCON qualifier on a four-match winless streak and their recent form in the competition has been equally underwhelming, with just one win in their last 13 matches. The Nation's last win was back in November in a World Cup Qualifier against Zambia.

Meanwhile, Ghana have been on a roll since the last African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast when they crashed out in the group stage. The Black Stars overcame Mali and Central African Republic in their two June 2026 World Cup qualifiers, but we didn't see that form in their defeat to Angola last time out.  Otto Addo's side appeared to be settling for a draw before Milson broke their hearts in stoppage time. But having beaten Niger 3-0 in their last AFCON encounter, Ghana will fancy their chances of returning to winning ways on Monday in Morocco.

Niger vs Ghana Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals

While it’s been long since Niger registered their last victory, the Mena don’t always conceded many goals and I think they are capable of keeping Monday’s game very close until the later stages. Niger conceded under one goal in each of their last six matches, with bets on under 2.5 goals won in all but one of those encounters.

  • Best Tip: Under 2.5 goals
  • Niger vs Ghana prediction: 0-1

Niger team news

Niger head coach Ezzaki Badou called up two uncapped players for Niger's two AFCON qualifiers this month.

Boubacar Hama Hainikoye is one of the new boys and the US GN defender is hoping to make his debut on Monday after watching from the bench in the last game.

Abdoulaye Boureima Katkoré is the country's most-capped player (61) and is likely to be back at the back in a likely 4-3-3 formation.
