Nice face their first Europa League contest in high spirits after a stunning 8:0 win against Saint Etienne last weekend. On-loan Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko scored twice as Franck Haise´s side scored a record-breaking Ligue 1 victory.

Free-flowing in attack, Nice also scored a 4:1 win at Angers before a 2:0 away defeat at Marseille in a roller-coaster period for Les Aiglons.

Five games into the Ligue 1 season, Haise´s men sit seventh in the division with seven points collected thus far.

Real Sociedad make the short trip to southern France in less convincing form with the Basque club winless in six of seven La Liga games played this season. 

A lack of firepower has proven a major issue for Imanol Alguacil´s side who have scored just three goals this season and none in their last four matches. 

While still a tough side to beat, particularly in this competition, Real have now lost three of their last five matches, while a weekend draw against Valladolid will have done little to inspire confidence amongst the txuri-urdin.

A tricky tie to call, with goal stats proving inconclusive, I´m going to take a chance on Nice to carry on their fine weekend form with another win on Wednesday.
