Newcastle will be confident of maintaining their winning form when they take on Man Utd on Sunday afternoon.

Eddie Howe´s League Cup winners are in great form, with confidence high following their superb victory against Liverpool last month. Newcastle have won each of their last four games, while they scored wins in seven of ten previous matches played since the start of February.

Particularly strong in home fixtures, the buoyant Magpies picked up victories in eight of their last 11 games at St James's Park.

Usually an entertaining side to watch, particularly in front of their own support, a minimum of three goals were scored in ten of Howe´s side´s last 12 home fixtures.

Man Utd return to Premier League action after an entertaining 2:2 draw against Lyon in their Europa League quarter final first-leg on Thursday. Joshua Zirkzee´s late goal looked to have secured a valuable away victory before another Andre Onana error cost the Red Devils with Rayan Cherki scoring a stoppage time leveller in France.

While slowly improving under Ruben Amorim, United´s focus is likely to be on Thursday´s return leg against the French, and they could struggle to deal with their in-form hosts who have enjoyed the benefit of a free midweek.

Newcastle have enjoyed recent dominance in this fixture, picking up victories in four of their last five encounters, and I'm confident we will see a similar outcome on Sunday.

A home win is my best bet, with Newcastle likely to score at least two goals.
