Newcastle United will be looking to continue their recent impressive form across all competitions when they welcome Bournemouth — who are also in form — to St James’ Park this weekend.
The hosts are not playing like a team that took just three wins from their opening eight league games of the 2024-25 season. Eddie Howe's men hosted Wolves in a bid to make it nine wins on the bounce in midweek and they gave their fans a reason to celebrate. The Magpies thrashed a struggling Wolves side three times without conceding for the fifth time in six league games.
Bournemouth are also on a roll in all competitions under Andoni Iraola. The Cherries have not lost since a 2-1 defeat to Brighton in the second week of November and are now on a ten-match unbeaten run. Andoni Iraola's men won six of those games, beating Manchester United, Bournemouth, Everton, West Brom and Wolves.
Newcastle vs Bournemouth Betting Tips: Newcastle to win & both teams to score
Premier League meetings between Newcastle United and Bournemouth are renowned for being entertaining affairs. Bets on 'btts - yes' won in all but one of the last ten meetings and I fancy a similar outcome this weekend.
Newcastle United's front three, led by Alexander Isak, just can't stop scoring at the moment. Eddie Howe's men fired in at least two goals in each of their last nine games.
Bournemouth are in good form offensively as well with the visitors boasting at least one goal in 13 of their last 14 games. But with Newcastle United also solid at the back, they have the edge in this encounter and I am backing them.
- Best Tip: Home team to win
- Newcastle vs Bournemouth prediction: 2-1

Bournemouth team news
Enes Ünal is ruled out for Bournemouth until at least the first week of August due to a cruciate ligament injury and head coach Andoni Iraola has more than five other injury concerns.
Among them are Luis Sinisterra, Julián Araujo, Marcos Senesi (all hamstring) and Adam Smith who is dealing with thigh problems.
James Hill is also ruled out for the trip to St. James Park after coming off with an injury just 22 minutes into the draw with Chelsea in midweek.
