Brighton will be looking to continue their recent impressive against Newcastle United in the FA Cup this weekend when they travel to St James’ Park.
Newcastle have struggled for consistency this season and their trip to Anfield in midweek was another clear example. The Magpies suffered a 2:0 defeat at the hands of league leaders Liverpool and worst of all, they didn't register a single shot on target for the entire 90 minutes.
Brighton meanwhile have found their form just when it matters most. The Seagulls head into Sunday's FA Cup 5th round clash with Newcastle at St James' Park with a run of four successive wins and also scored 11 goals in the process. Their most recent victory came against Bournemouth at the Falmer Stadium where Danny Welbeck and João Pedro were on the scoresheet.
Newcastle United vs Brighton Betting Tips: Both teams to score
The Magpies were toothless in front of goal against Liverpool in midweek and I think the absence of Alexander Isak through injury played a key role in that. Although there are still doubts over the fitness of the Swedish forward, Eddie Howe’s men shouldn’t have issues scoring this weekend. They scored in all their last ten home matches and bets on btts – yes won in three of the last five.
Brighton just can’t stop scoring at the moment and the Seagulls have scored at least twice in all but two of their last nine games across all competitions. They kept a clean sheet in four of those encounters, but have shipped seven goals on their last four visits to St James’ Park, I expect Newcastle to get on the scoresheet this weekend.

Newcastle United team news
Newcastle United will again be without the services Alexander Isak due to a groin injury and the Swedish forward is not the hosts’ only injury concern.
Jamaal Lascelles (cruciate ligament), Joelinton, Sven Botman (both knee) and Jamal Lewis (ankle) will all be unavailable for the Magpies this weekend through injury.

Brighton team news
Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler has been managing the fitness of Danny Welbeck since his return from injury, but the English man could be given a place in the XI on Sunday.
Sunday’s FA Cup clash with Newcastle will come too soon for James Milner, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Igor, Jason Steele, Lewis Dunk and Joël Veltman due to injury.
