France will be out to secure top position in Group A when they host New Zealand at the Orange Vélodrome on Tuesday. 

New Zealand U23 vs France U23 Betting Tips: France to Win / Over 2.5 

Only a monumental collapse would see France fail to escape Group`A after Thierry Henry´s side secured back-to-back victories against USA (3:0) and Guinea (1:0). Sitting top of the section, three ahead of the Kiwis and US, the French will secure top spot in the section should they avoid defeat on Tuesday.

Of course, Les Bleues will be keen to secure a third successive group victory as they continue their march towards the gold-medal match next month. 

While a draw will do, the French should be expected to get back on the goal trail after a hard-fought 1:0 win against the Guineans on Saturday. Henry´s side have now won six of their last eight games played since the start of June, while they scored an average of three goals across their last seven fixtures. 

While France were picking up their second victory at these Olympics, New Zealand fell to a heavy 4:1 loss against the USA, a result that leaves their qualification hopes in doubt, despite an opening day win against Guinea. 

Now needing to match the USA´s result against Guinea, Darren Bazeley´s side will need to be at their best if they are to avoid another defeat at Orange Velodrome. However, having conceded eight goals in their last three games against Uzbekistan, Guinea, and USA, it's hard to see the Kiwis shutting the door effectively on Tuesday.

I´m backing France to win, with a minimum of three goals scored in what should prove a one-sided victory for the Gold medal favourites.
