After winning their 3rd Scudetto in the 2022/23 season, Napoli had a terrible last season as they finished 10th, not even close to Europe. This year, the team is focused only on the domestic competitions and is once again doing well in Serie A. Right now, they are in second place with 38 points from 17 matches - just two points away from the first-placed Atalanta. Meanwhile, in the Cup, they underperformed, and Lazio eliminated them in the 1/8 Finals after a 3:1 win in Rome.
Venezia managed to return to the Italian top-flight division this year after gaining promotion last season. After a 2:1 win over Genoa, coach Antonio Conte spoke to the media. He was unhappy with the team's performance in the second half, saying he did not like a single thing about the second half. "The players need to realize they must play from start to finish, with their foot on the gas at all times," the coach added.

After a 2:1 win over Cagliari, coach Eusebio Di Francesco spoke to the media. He said it was a massive win for them, and it was worth double because it was against a team that was in front of them on the league's table. "The team has grown in awareness. We are more consistent and are enjoying this victory. We are already thinking about the next one," the coach added.
