The Italian Serie A could be the most interesting league in Europe this year, as the top six teams are separated by only six points. Among them are the league leader, Napoli, and fifth, Lazio. The two teams met on Thursday in Coppa Italia in the 1/8 final, and Lazio won 3-1 at the home stadium. According to the stats, the teams were pretty even, but the home side used their chances much better and secured a win that will give them a confidence boost ahead of the trip to Naples. 

Napoli had a fantastic start to the season, but in the last few weeks, they have been showing some signs of slowing down. Antonio Conte's team won only two of the last five matches in all competitions, and although they are still at the top of Serie A, Napoli certainly needs a run of better performances to keep the dream about the title hopes alive. 

Lazio are probably playing slightly above expectations. It is hard to keep the same pace for the season, but Marco Baroni's team won eight of the previous ten matches in all competitions, and their expectations surely have grown after a fantastic start. The upcoming tie in Naples will tell us a lot about Lazio's potential for this season.
